Standard portrait sessions start at $199. I’m happy to announce that all packages now include digital images!  Please inquire for a full listing of products & pricing. *Session fees & product prices are subject to change at any time. Session fee pricing that was active when your session was booked and confirmed, will be honored.

A $100 deposit is due at time of booking to reserve your time/date. I do not guarantee any time slots until your deposit is paid. Please note that this is a non-refundable retainer. This is to ensure that I do not reserve a block of time for a client, and then have them cancel last minute. Your session fee, however, is transferable should we need to reschedule. Once we have a date nailed down, I will send you an invoice via Paypal. Once your payment is received, we’ll be all set! The remaining balance of your session is due 48 hours before your session.

Rain is the most common reason for rescheduling sessions.  I am willing to shoot in light rain. However, if it is absolutely pouring, I will recommend we reschedule. For all other reasons, I require as much notice as possible. Please keep in mind that depending on the season, my schedule could be full so rescheduling that same month may not be possible, but I will do everything I can to accommodate.

I am a natural light, on location photographer. This means that we’ll choose a location (generally outdoors), that suits your taste. The location and atmosphere we shoot at, really does have a huge effect on your images. It will set the tone for the entire session. There are so many awesome locations in the area to consider. Do you like the urban setting with buildings and bright colors? Water & the beach? Maybe a beautiful grassy field? We’ll find something perfect! I am located in Maple Valley, WA (98038). If you choose a location is outside of the travel radius of your package, there is a $25 travel fee.

A fabulous photo has a lot of different elements, but wardrobe is key! I personally do not encourage formal clothing or simple basic colors like solid black or white. I encourage lots of color, layers & textures. Consider a patterns, a layering tee, cardigan, jacket, scarf and/or jewelry. For men, a button up shirt and a vest or jacket, maybe even a hat? Layers & textures add depth and personality to your photographs. Of course, comfort is important so keep that in mind, but don’t be afraid of being creative with your outfits! And of course, please feel free to bring multiple clothing pieces to the shoot if you need help deciding what to wear!

My number one goal is to make sure that your time with me is fun, relaxed, and natural. I have found that knowing what to expect out of a portrait session helps you settle into your experience a little bit better. Here are some things that you can expect from a photography session with me.

Prior to meeting, please feel free to discuss with me your personality and style. If you need ideas on clothing and location ideas, I would be happy to give you some suggestions. On the day of your session, it’s time to have fun! It’s not easy to feel comfortable in front of a camera, no matter who you are. But it’s even harder when that person is a complete stranger. I always make sure to take some time at the beginning of our session to talk with you and your family, to get to know you a little better. My style is very photo-journalistic. Throughout our shoot time, I like to set the stage and then let the characters play out so that your images are real, spontaneous and fresh!

I use Adobe Photoshop for all of my post-processing. On each of your images, I will color correct, as well as use other creative editing techniques with your images. I will remove blemishes and smooth out skin very conservatively. If you have the desire for more extensive retouching, please let me know. There may be a small fee, depending on what you would like done.

Once our session is complete, within 2-3 weeks (depending on the season and my volume of work at that time), I will send you an e-mail with a link to your private viewing gallery and your passcode. Thereafter,  you will select and download your digital images. I also offer a variety of products ranging from gift prints to gallery wraps. You will be able to submit your order directly through your gallery, and they will be shipped right to your home within 1-2 weeks.

Though I always encourage my clients to utilize the option to order prints from the professional lab via their proofing gallery, I do understand the tenancies of our generation. As technology advances, our memories are often preserved on our phones and computers. So with this in mind, I have designed some packages that will provide you the digital images you love the most!

I own the copyright on all photos I take. They are protected under rederal copyright laws. If you purchase digital files, I will provide you with a print release, this will allow you to make prints at your leisure. However, you may not edit, alter, scan, reproduce, or redistribute these files in any way.
